Welcome to BAM, the Altafulla Mar Blog. My name is Jordi Ferré and I am the hotel manager. Just 1 year ago, together with the family that owns the establishment and my good friend Bernat Cañellas (a great gastronomic director and my professional half-tonk) we started the dream of making this great and exciting hotel project a reality. Only one year? well, in reality it has been much longer since the day the first stone of the building was laid, but only 1 year since the official opening date of the Altafulla Mar Hotel was set, therefore the day when the scoreboard was set on a frenetic and inexorable run. It has been a very intense winter and spring, graphically comparable to a balance sheet, on the one hand with many fronts to develop, decisions and variables typical of the start-up of any new business, and on the other hand an unbridled illusion to be able to do things very well from 0 and to design a functional, attractive and quality establishment without wanting to assume the luxury.
From our point of view, every business has a purpose, and ours is none other than to offer our clients a set of very widespread clichés that are often far from reality. Good service, professionalism and personalised attention, these are the 3 main pillars of the Altafulla Mar Hotel. Our location positions us as a sun and beach tourist destination, but our aim is to offer our guests an establishment where they can discover and learn first-hand about wine tourism, local and popular culture, art, live music and, above all, good Mediterranean market cuisine.
Through this blog we will try to give you our point of view on the philosophy of the hotel and many other aspects of the day to day reality of tourism in this changing world we are living; we thank you for your visit and we hope to be able to interact with all of you together.
