Family holiday reservation, Sunday 17 May 1992. Paqui and José in the after-dinner conversation.
José (father): “Paqui, where do you want to go on holiday this August with the children and the grandmother?
Paqui (mother): “Well, to Coma-ruga José, where are we going to go? Then we’ll go to Viajes La Ballena Viajera and make a reservation, they always choose a good hotel for us, they know them all”.

José (father): “Look Paqui! Raul, the new Account Manager who works with me has just posted a live Storie on his Instagram running with the director of the Altafulla Mar, you can see that every Sunday they go for a group run in this hotel, what a blast, I’ll pass you a screenshot!”
Paqui (mother): “I know the hotel, a few days ago they raffled a romantic night on their social networks, Miriam shared it and since then I’ve been following them, every Saturday they broadcast a concert on Facebook Live and it’s wonderful”.
José (father): “Wait, I’m going to get the tablet and look it up on Booking.com, this morning they sent me an email newsletter with holiday offers, I’m sure we’ll get the best prices there. Ah well no, there are no promotions, I’m going to try Trivago, I liked the advert on TV with the two same rooms at two different prices. Look yes, lower price on www.altafullamarhotel.com, and much cheaper than Expedia, Amoma and Agoda”.
Paqui (mother): “Don’t trust the hotel’s website, I’m sure you have to pay first, call and I’ll keep an eye on the Tripadvisor app to see what they say”.
José (father): “Ready, not only have they given me the best price but they have also offered me the possibility to book parking and late check out free so we can take advantage of the last day until after lunch”.
Marc (millennial son 1): “Mum, if there’s no wifi I won’t come, and don’t waste any more time, let Siri call, she’s bored”.
Albert (millennial son 2): “The area is beautiful, I’ll take the bike and the board, on Google Street I can see that there is lane in the whole town and on Foursquare I can see that there is a surf shop next to it”.
Dolores (yaya): “What are you all doing with this device hooked up and silent, don’t you talk in this house anymore at Sunday dinner or what?”
Paqui (mother): “Go and make a reservation, José, before they raise the price. By the way, this morning I passed in front of the place where La Ballena Viajera used to be and I saw that they have opened a flexitarian restaurant that looks very good and has a very good rating on Yelp”.
